The long-standing company KÖBO manufactures sprockets and sprocket plates in all designs and variations around the world. KÖBO also produces numerous attachments, rollers, buckets, pan belts and individual parts for specific applications.  The quality of the products is so sought-after that the CHAIN PEOPLE from Wuppertal supply their chains to the whole of Europe, the USA and Asia. This now requires the optimization of the KÖBO production facilities at the company headquarters in Wuppertal. The management board have invested 6 million euro in a 4,200 m² production facility and new machinery – mainly for the production of the link plates.
 
Thanks to the overall very positive business perspectives, the KÖBO production facilities are now all the richer for an attractive new build. The new production hall was designed with the significant improvement of all work processes in mind. The modern production facility contains a fully automated flat-materials warehouse that makes even the preparatory work more transparent and faster, and thus the entire production process more effective. The scrap disposal system has also been aligned to the latest requirements. It is now located directly downstream from the production line and operates automatically. Not only does this increase occupational safety, it also raises productivity.
 
The new building and related optimization of the KÖBO production line was primarily required because the order volume of the Wuppertal experts for chain technology continues to increase. This is why money has been invested in new machinery and warehouse facilities that, in addition to the greater production volume, also ensure the constant high quality of the KÖBO products, e.g. in an ultra-modern laser plant with automated sheet metal warehouse and new coiled materials warehouse.
